Return & Exchange Policy for Pearl Jewelry
I. Scope of Application
This policy applies only to pearl jewelry products purchased through this platform (including but not limited to pearl necklaces, pearl earrings, pearl bracelets, pearl rings, and pearl-inlaid jewelry, etc.), excluding specially customized items, engraved custom pearl jewelry, and products clearly marked as "non-returnable/exchangeable".
Supported payment methods include Klarna installment payment, Afterpay buy-now-pay-later, as well as seven major credit cards (Visa, American Express, Mastercard, JCB, UnionPay, Discover, Diners Club), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shopify Pay, etc.
For consumers in the EU, this policy shall be applied in conjunction with the relevant provisions of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
II. Conditions for Return and Exchange
Product Quality Issues
If consumers find the following quality problems after receiving pearl products, they can apply for return or exchange within 30 days of receipt:
- The material does not match the description;
- Pearls are falling off, loose, or have obvious cracks (non-human damage);
- Craft defects (such as insecure pearl inlay, broken welding points, peeling of surface plating, etc.);
- The product seriously does not match the style, specification, or material described in the order.
When applying, consumers need to provide the original packaging, quality inspection certificate, and clear photos/videos of the problematic parts, and the platform will arrange professional appraisal.
Wrong Delivery/Logistics Damage
If the delivered product does not match the order information (such as wrong style, size, or material) due to platform reasons, or the product is damaged during transportation (needs to provide proof of damage at the time of logistics signing), consumers can apply for return or exchange within 30 days of receipt, and the round-trip freight shall be borne by the platform.
Unconditional Return and Exchange
Non-customized pearl jewelry supports unconditional return and exchange within 30 days of receipt, but must meet the following conditions:
- The product has not been worn or used, with no scratches, deformation, oxidation marks on the surface, and no wear on pearls;
- The original packaging (jewelry box, dust bag) is intact, and accessories (certificate, label, warranty card) are complete;
- The pearl jewelry has not undergone secondary processing (such as ring size adjustment, re-inlay, length adjustment, etc.).
The returned product must be confirmed by the platform's professional quality inspection to meet the above conditions, and the round-trip freight shall be borne by the consumer.
Cooling-off Period for EU Consumers
In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive, consumers in the EU enjoy a 14-day cooling-off period after purchasing pearl jewelry, calculated from the date of receipt. During the cooling-off period, they can apply for return without reason (except customized products), without needing to explain the reason, and without bearing the return freight. The conditions for return and exchange are the same as above.
III. Return and Exchange Process
Application Submission
Consumers need to submit a return or exchange application through platform customer service or the order center within the eligible period, stating product information, reasons for return/exchange, and needs (return/exchange), and upload vouchers such as photos of the product's current status, original packaging, and certificates.
Review and Confirmation
The platform will complete the review within 3 working days after receiving the application. After approval, it will provide an exclusive return/exchange address and logistics guidelines;
If applying for exchange, the style/size of the exchange must be clearly stated. The platform will give priority to confirming inventory. If there is no inventory, it can be converted to a return process.
Product Return
Consumers need to return the product according to the guidelines within 7 days after the review is approved. When returning, the original packaging must be used for proper wrapping (it is recommended to add a shockproof layer), and a return list (indicating the order number and return/exchange needs) must be attached. The logistics tracking number must be synchronized to the platform customer service in a timely manner.
Quality Inspection and Processing
After receiving the returned product, the platform will conduct professional quality inspection (including pearl quality identification, craft inspection, etc.) within 5 working days;
After passing the quality inspection, returned products will be arranged for storage, and exchanged products will be shipped within 3-5 working days (for special styles that need customization, the time will be notified separately);
If the quality inspection finds that the product does not meet the return/exchange conditions (such as man-made damage, missing accessories), the product will be returned with an explanation, and the round-trip freight shall be borne by the consumer.
IV. Description of Special Products
Customized Pearl Jewelry
Including engraved pearl jewelry, exclusive design pearl jewelry, and pearl products with size/style modified according to customer requirements. Due to the involvement of personalized processing, unconditional return and exchange are not supported. Only when there are quality problems can an exchange be applied for (same style and specification).
Precious Pearl Products
For return and exchange of precious pearl products such as South Sea pearls, Tahitian black pearls, and Akoya pearls, it is necessary to provide proof of matching between the original certificate and the product number. The processing can only be done after re-inspection confirms that it is consistent with the outbound records.
V. Rights and Obligations of Both Parties
Rights and Obligations of Consumers
- Have the right to apply for return or exchange under the conditions specified in the policy;
- Must ensure that the provided vouchers are true and valid, and cooperate with the platform's quality inspection process;
- Must ensure that the packaging is intact when returning the product to avoid damage during transportation;
- For returns and exchanges due to non-quality issues, shall bear the round-trip logistics costs and possible quality inspection fees (such as re-inspection fees).
Rights and Obligations of the Platform
- Have the right to conduct professional quality inspection on returned products, and reject applications that do not meet the conditions with explanations;
- Must complete the review and return/exchange processing within the specified time limit, and synchronize the progress in a timely manner;
- The exchanged products must be new products of the same quality as the original products, with a quality inspection certificate attached;
- Waive the return freight for compliant applications from EU consumers within the 14-day cooling-off period.
VI. Disclaimer
- The platform has the right to refuse return or exchange if the product is damaged due to improper wearing or maintenance by consumers (such as collision deformation, chemical corrosion, high-temperature burning, pearls losing luster due to contact with chemicals, etc.);
- If the original packaging, certificates, or labels of the product are missing or damaged, affecting secondary sales, unconditional return and exchange are not supported;
- Return or exchange applications that exceed the specified time limit and cannot provide reasonable proof of extension will not be accepted by the platform;
- Products not sold by this platform or purchased through irregular channels are not applicable to this policy.
This policy shall take effect from the date of issuance. The platform will adjust and optimize it according to the characteristics of the pearl jewelry industry and relevant laws and regulations.
